Titanium Labs was founded by Michael Smith — a builder and operator who spent years running marketing systems, shipping software, and watching consultancies hand clients PDFs instead of working code.

The pattern was always the same: big-name firm runs a 12-week "AI transformation" engagement, delivers a beautiful roadmap, charges a quarter million dollars, and leaves the client to figure out implementation on their own. Six months later, nothing is in production.

Titanium Labs exists to close that gap. We run fractional CAIO engagements where we own the strategy, the build, and the operations. We don't subcontract to a dev shop. We ship code under our own roof — multi-agent systems, RAG pipelines, MCP servers, custom automations — built on frontier models and our own infrastructure stack.

The proof is our products. Ottolax is the multi-agent operating system we built to run our own agency, The Leading Practice. Claude Gateway is the credential infrastructure every one of our agents uses. emails4agents is the email primitive we built when no existing email API was designed for autonomous agents. I’m Michael Smith, founder of Titanium Labs.

I started Titanium Labs because I got tired of watching companies pay six figures to consultancies that hand them a slide deck and walk away. I’ve operated businesses. I’ve shipped software. I know what it actually takes to move an AI initiative from “interesting demo” to “running in production with budgets, observability, and a CFO who’s not scared of the API bill.”

That’s the work I do now. I embed as a fractional AI leader with mid-market and enterprise teams — owning both the boardroom narrative and the GitHub commit history. I write the roadmap. I vet the vendors. I sit in the architecture review. And when month two ends, there’s working code in your environment.
